• The Feeding Families Community Table (FFCT) project strives to ensure that people of all races, ages, sexual orientations, genders, abilities, geographies, and socioeconomic statuses have access to fresh produce that is within their preferences. This program launched in 2021, and resulted from year-long conversations with community partners and DEI consultants, Allyship in Action. It is a community-based model, providing 6 needed and identified community-based access points to connect low-income families weekly with access to fresh produce in ways that support their dignity, respect, and keeping within their preferences. This access strives to decrease barriers including cost, transportation, safe pick-up, and to build a sense of community among program participants.
• The 2022 season changes include a sliding scale payment model which allows participants in the produce share to self-select their payment level; changes also include accepting SNAP/EBT and Double Up Food Bucks.
• Based on feedback from our first season, input from community partners and Allyship in Action, and best practices in the field of food justice, we will focus our resources on a set of sites that allow us to reach a range of geographic and demographic communities in ways that are respectful of the individuals and families we are seeking to serve and that leverage partnerships with other organizations that are deeply rooted in these communities. In 2022, we will distribute 20,000 pounds of produce, free or on a sliding scale, at the following sites:
• 1) S2T Produce Share: Expand to support 110 families/week with sliding scale produce share. Weekly recipes and education provided.
• Referrals for participant matches from School District Latinx outreach, Family Access Network, High Desert Food and Farm Alliance’s Veggie Rx program, and Wellhouse/Kiwanis Pantry.
• 2) S2T will offer an alternative produce share pick up time (at Sisters Farmers Market), and will provide delivery for produce share members that cannot attend the Wednesday pick up time.
• 3 & 4) Kiwanis & Wellhouse Food Pantries: expand free pantry farmers market and Fresh Harvest Kits to serve 200 families/week with recipe kits. (An increase from 70 families in 2021)
• 5) Continue work in partnership with Biblioteca en Camino within 9 identified neighborhoods serving 10-30 families weekly.
• 6) Continue to work with WSCAT to provide produce to 30 families weekly.

We are committed to serving those that have historically experienced health disparities and take specific approaches informed by our participants and by organizations with deep experience in those communities. -Sliding scale payment for the produce share to allow greater access to those who do not qualify for SNAP. S2T is leveraging community partnerships to include participants who have not previously been part of the the produce share

We have been in communication with our community partners consistently over the past year to ask for feedback on how participants are feeling and how the program is working. This includes Carina Miller from the Warm Springs Community Action Team, Theresa Slavkovsky and Dawn Cooper from the Family Access Network,Lois Kaping from Wellhouse Market Food Pantry, as well as regular informal conversations with participants who receive produce. We are constantly adapting programming to better fit the needs of the community, whether that is by adjusting donation quantities or changing delivery methods to make sure that the produce gets where it needs to go. In 2021, we delivered to participants that could not pick up their produce on a case by case basis, responding to phone calls and text messages day-of. While we were happy to do this, we want to make sure this is available to all those who need delivery, not just those who happen to reach out.
