This indicator shows the percentage of 2-year olds who were immunized with 4 doses of DTaP, 3 doses IPV, 1 dose MMR, 3 doses Hib, 3 doses HepB, 1 dose Varicella, and 4 doses PCV.
Why is this important?
Timely immunizations protect children from contracting and spreading communicable diseases. These diseases can result in extended school absences, hospitalizations, and death. Childhood illnesses also have a significant financial impact on parents including costly medical bills and loss of work time. The immunization schedule changes frequently.
